Doctor Stephen Eberwein is a registered GP who specialises in Testosterone Replacement therapy, Hair Loss, Lifestyle Medicine and facial aesthetics.

Having acquired his first degree in pharmacology he has a keen interest in the medical management of disease as well as a holistic whole body natural approach to medicine. He believes in the unique combination of both modalities and has found great success combining both.

His interests lie in facial aesthetics, hair growth and the treatment of hair loss, male testosterone replacement and weight loss.

Dr Eberwein is keen on the idea that every patient is an individual and sometimes standard lab tests may show patients in the normal range but they still have symptoms. 

Before Dr Eberwein became a doctor, his pharmacology background facilitated the early use of finasteride before it was ever considered as a treatment of hair loss. Working with doctors in Harley Street and Wimpole Street in London, finasteride was prescribed for hair loss in as early as 1992, long before its official licence in 1997.

During his years as a medical student he would make use of all available medical literature researching potential treatments for hair loss and making suggestions to doctors he was associated with in Harley Street. A number of topical formulations were successfully implemented including spironolactone, medroxyprogesterone and retinoids.

Dr Eberwein a firm believer in prevention and stresses the importance of early adoption of treatment to prevent the need for hair replacement surgery at a later date.

Although not an advocate of anabolic steroid use in sports and body aesthetics, Dr Eberwein has spent many years researching this subject with keen interest. He is aware of the side effects caused such as the long term suppression of natural testosterone production. He has worked with prior patients who no longer take steroids but require a normalisation of their own testosterone due to long term suppression.
